英文求职信通常包括五个组成部分：写信动机、自我介绍、本人能力、结尾、附件。 写求职信的过程本身也就反映出了你的外语水平，故应尽量做到语言规范、符合外文习惯，减少语法错误。
求职信如何获得面试机会
一、表现个人特色
求职的信件要具个人特色、亲切且能体现出专业水平。切不可过于随意，也不能拘泥于格式——商业信函应该是一种既正式、又非正式的文体。句子结构和长度应富于变化，使阅信人总保持兴趣。内容、语气、用词的选择和对希望的表达要积极，应该充分显示出你是一个乐观、有责任心、有创造力和通情达理的人。
二、表达简洁
语言表达要简洁明了，避免使用太多的专业术语和过分複杂的句子。一方面用人单位不会在一份简历 上花费太多的时间;另外一个方面，简洁的语言表述也能体现出你珍惜他人的时间。
三、切忌全英文
一国企招聘负责人介绍说，有的求职者在自己的简历里，英文材料比中文材料多，其实只有该职位需要使用英语，用人单位才会注重应聘者的外语水平及表达能力。了解应聘单位基本情况，在简历中表现出自己对该单位亲和、仰慕，也会使招聘负责人感兴趣，增大求职的成功率。
四、表现能力
如果你是IT人才，在简历中详细描述你的IT技能和项目经验是很重要的，当你描述项目经验时，一定要特别将该项目的软、硬件环境、开发工具写清楚，并详细描述你在该项目中的具体职责。如果你是高级人才，业绩能充分证明你的能力和价值，请详细描述你取得的业绩的具体内容。但是，不要说假话。
